If you pass the affordability criteria to pay the mortgage by yourself then there should really be no problem.0

Yes this is possible BUT that depends on lots of factors.
Size of mortgage, your age and income, equity in the property, does he want a share of the equity?
kids,LTV etc
You should get legal advice ( first half hour free) and then talk to each other and not via a solictor charging you £100 an hour or £50 for a phone call/letter.
Find out some information ie balance on the mortgage, get the house valued by 3 estate agents ( do not tell them you are getting divorced say you are moving )
Check on your lenders website if your income would cover the mortgage on your own.
Many lenders now take into account some benefits, maintence etc0 -
I have always paid the full mortgage every month myself.. He does not want anything from the sale of the property when that happens. He just wants to walk away and leave me with it. He has never contributed to anything...0

So you know that you can afford the mortgage BUT the lender may think different and want the security of both of you on the mortgage ( two people if you default)
You need to talk with your lender and a solictor to get him to sign away any rights to a share of the property.
Have you got kids?0 -
yes i have 2 kids...0

different ball game so go on the csa website and see how much he should be paying for " HIS" kids.
also courts wont make you homeless if he wants a share while kids under 180
