Glad it worked out! I bet someone in the branch is going to be given a good talking to, since it does appear that in their rush to sell you a product they neglected to record the information you volunteered properly.

Made bankrupt in April 2007, but haven't missed a mortgage payment since 2006? This doesn't add up.

Why not? Bankruptcy has nothing to do with secured loans so the mortgage would still need to be paid. There are cases where the Official Receiver and/or Trustee will not seek to take the property from the bankrupt so it is possible for the mortgage to remain in place.

well to keep it short in 2006 i got in money trouble partly due to an ex so i went into an iva, in2008 i split with her (had enough) but had to find some were to live asked the iva if they could acept a few less £ per month, but they said no! so i ended up going bankrupt, in 2008, and was asked to pay less than i offered b4 (over 3yrs) i was discharged on 19th may 2009, but since 2006 i never owed or missed any payments,

the main thing is ive seen a house i like that is just right in all aspects needs work but not an offer likely to come up again, chances are it may not be about by the time people want to lend to me again :( but gotta try!

Well done OP. I was really gripped by your plight.

Who knows what could happen, the banks are a rare breed.
