Congrats on your win!
I have been asked to do this in the past and like you was a bit unsure but I gave them and it was fine.0 -
Wonga are a massive payday loan type company, so thats how they work, x
I'd be okay if it was me
Well done xxx#JusticeForGrenfell0 -
I won a month or so ago and did this. Money was in the account instantly.
I gave my details over the phone as I wasn't happy e-mailing bank details and told them not to keep hold of my details. I've had no weird transactions since. I think they are a finance company so reasonably safe (but you can never be sure when giving any details out).
Another MSEr won too before me and got a cheque...but they were reluctant to do this for me because it would take longer as they need a few signatures for the cheque.
Oh, and congratulations!

I thought the advice was to NEVER give your bank details. The company may be o.k but personally i think this advice could confuse some compers with some people being readily prepared to give out personal bank details to anyone.
There needs to be some clarity here i think.
Personally my advice would be DONT!!! If youve won somethining let them send it to you.If we all took an eye for an eye the world would be blind-(someone said that somewhere) :T
Wins Cheltenham tickets, edible garden show tickets +£25 voucher, underground disco C.D (comping since feb2011)
Thank you all competition posters!0 -
I think its fine, as with those details (account name, account number and sort code) the only thing they could do is pay cash in.0
