Hi am after some advice please, our A&L fixed rate is due to end 30.6.11 have been on to Santander (but got put through to A&L) to find out what deals they have.
They offered 3.79% with a fee of £799
3.89% with a fee of £699
or 4.24% with no fee
I wasn't evey impressed and wondered if there is anything better out there. I was told I couldn't speak to Santander as I am not their customer the mortgages are still separate.
So our details are
Outstanding mortgage £71937.10
term left 12 years
£30K is on endowment of which £25K is due to pay out in August 2013 and will make it's target if not more.
Any one point us in the direction of other deals
Thanks in advance

Check what your follow on rate is.
If you were 5yr fix with A&L there is a good chance you may get a good life time tracker follow on.
Worth checking out, will be on your paperwork or just give them a bell.0 -
Our 5-year fixed rate finished last September with Alliance & Leicester. We waited to see what Santander would come up with and they sent a letter saying our new rate would be 1.25%. So if I were you I would wait too.0

I'm also with A&L and our 5 year fixed rate ended at the end of February. Our rate reverted to base rate plus 0.99% so we're currently paying just 1.49%. We decided to keep our monthly payment the same so we are now overpaying each month. Check your mortgage offer to see what your rate will revert to as you may be better off sticking with what you have.0
