Debenhams - orders?

I'd like to order some furniture on special offer from Debenhams, they are currently showing as 'In Stock'.
I've read some posts here about Debenhams cancelling orders and not fulfilling orders. Are they ok or are they pretty bad?
I'd like to know as I'd be ordering matching items and one part of the order would not be ok without the other.
Thanks.

i've had furniture orders cancelled, probably wouldn't order furniture from them again
but i have found their cusotmer services quite good, it's just the hassle of expecting a delivery and then having it cancelled at the last minute that would put me off using them for a big purchase like that0 -
my experience is the opposite
i order [STRIKE]way too many[/STRIKE] some items, big & small
i have only ever had one order cancelled out of dozens and dozens, and that was a glitch on the 10p mascara, which we all expected anyways
faultless customer services too0 -
I've used Debs for years, I get all my Christmas presents in one hit from their website and I've found it very convenient.
I've only ever had one wrong thing, a stainless pressure cooker I ordered last week, but they delivered an aluminium one by mistake. I phoned yesterday, they picked up the wrong one today and I'll be having the correct one delivered after the weekend. 10/10 IMO.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

i think the issue with furniture is that the delivery comes direct from their suppliers, not from debenhams, so they're not so much in control of stock levels. saying that though, i've only ever ordered furniture when it's been in the sale, so maybe that was a contributory factor0
