Service Science and long overdue job payments!

Options
Afternoon

Been quite a while since I've been on the MS forums here, but good to see the old faces still here!

Has anyone had issues with Service Science and extremely delayed / late payments of work. I am owed over £700 from 2 jobs in January and February, which were due to be paid at the start of March and April. All of a sudden, they arent responding to phone calls I made today. I've had numerous emails stating payment was processed back in late February but nothing has ever materialised. Then I got an excuse about someone forgetting to pass on forms due to holidays, then I was told it was being dealt with asap on the 6th April, still nothing. Then they emailed for Bank Details to speed things up, no payment 8 working days after they first said they were dealing with it asap.

Shoppers beware, it could be an almighty glitch but at this rate I'll be Small Claims Courting them rather soon. It's a shame really, I quite liked their jobs but their flippant attitude to payment is far from proffessional.

Well all the payments did eventually arrive as a mixture of BACS and a Cheque but not as promptly as was expected even after the phone calls, but they did call me today to follow it up after reading this forum ...!

    Hi

Service Science has asked us to post on its behalf. MSE doesn't endorse anything a company may say on the forum.

    To MikeLB -

We hold our hands up for our mistake and apologise for the inconvenience caused by our delay paying you for 2 jobs. I can assure you this is well below our normal standards and was a genuine human error and I understand our employee concerned has apologised to you personally. Your posting implies that we have also not met your expectations since this error. Our records show you have been paid for 2 jobs since this by BACS within 24 days. And that in fact you have done 10 jobs in total for us and on average we have paid you within 25.3 days of receiving your report (including the 2 erroneous incidents) which is well inside our standard of one calendar month. If this is not the case, please can you contact me so we can rectify what is going wrong. Your work is of a very high standard and we would like to repair our relationship with you.

    To blindman -

This is very concerning. Please can you contact me with details of the "LOTS" of people who have had problems with us? We have been established for 15 years and highly value the strength of our relationship with our mystery
shopping panel, with whom we would not be able to survive if this relationship is not healthy.

We carry out thousands of mystery visits every year. Of course we are not perfect and occasionally mess up (as with MikeLB here). Also some mystery shoppers occasionally don't fulfil their side of the bargain, therefore
don't get paid and sometimes see fit to vent their frustration on the web. I'd like to think both instances are extremely rare as is our experience, so please do let me know how you justify this allegation.

    Many thanks,

Richard Morrey, Managing Director, Service Science Limited
