    Hi in trouble

In general I would say it can take up to 6 weeks for CCCS to reach agreement with your creditors - needless to say if this isnt acheived (and in most cases it is because of CCCSs reputation) it can take longer. You have to paitent - although you will be keen to get underway. Roll with it, ask the CCCS and indeed us on DFW any concerns you may have.

Im with Payplan who do the same thing as CCCS. As soon as I had the DMP agreed I stopped all my direct debits with the creditors straight away. The I made my token payments and put the remainder away. You should get the paperwork within a week. I would say that it is not unreasonable to expect it all to be set up by the end of Jan, however as I mentioned in my previous post...... As a matter of courtesy I would make the token payments and either send a letter or phone the companies involved to let them know that you entered into a DMP with CCCS and quote your reference number and the CCCS will be in touch with them soon. Hope this helps.

Token payments are payments that you can realistically afford until you enter your DMP with CCCS. Basically, if you stop your direct debits to your creidtors, obviously they wont get paid anything you must make these token payments until CCCS start making the payments for you from the agreed sum you agree to pay them. £2 a month can be an acceptable token payment. It depends how much you have spare.
