The car they were selling was fooked so they didn't mind taking less money for it but then the part ex is fooked too so they dream up an ebay advert for it ?

The short MOT suggests that it is in need of some decent money spent for the next MOT.
Hence the reason why someone was happy to part ex it to the eBay seller.
