You could -in your circumstances, it would appear, apply for a debt relief order. The rules I believe is that you don't have significant assets, and your debts are below £15K.
This would eventually wipe out your debts- it's like bankruptcy but a far more simple process. If you are not working then a DMP is really a waste of time and will not solve the long term problem.
Ask about this, but suggest you get the information from the CAB or National debtline- my view of the other free charities is that they act as debt collectors for the creditors, I know they have helped alot of people but you are in a very tight situation and I think, for what it's worth, you need to bite the bullet and get out of this!
Hope it works out for you.now debt free and determined to maintain good spending habits and build savings0 -
Just to clarify we do not charge a fee for DMP's. The fee's that are charged for an IVA are the same as ones that are charged by all IVA companies, and these are taken from your monthly payments and not on top of.

Cheers guys - I already have debtlines number and have been talkling through a DMP with them. My only problem is that now, I literally have no income and nothing to live. My student loan is paid quarterly and that has already gone.
Will have any of these plans or ideas mean I'll struggle to get my student loan next year?0
