something very wrong now i think, tried again this morning got to chkdsk /r and it zipped along to 17% went away and left it, when i returned there was a blue screen saying that a problem had been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage etc then DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR EQUAL then a load of stuff about new hardware and disk space then it says technical information is
STOP:0x00000D1,(0x000012B,0x00000005,0x0000000,0xF76c895c)

check that the ide cable is firmly inserted in the hard drive,it could be loose
remove the memory stick (ram) and reseat it,if you have more than one stick of memory try booting to the recovery console with them in one at a time as a faulty module could be causing the bluescreeningIf you think nobody cares if you're alive, try missing a couple of payments.0
