I'm heading to a show there tomorrow night (15th) and was wondering if there's anywhere closish for a nice tea?
Driving there if that makes any difference!

  • There are a lot of restaurants, particularly Indian, on Argyle Street heading up to the west end and a few in the Charing Cross area. Not up to date with what is good but could look on trip advisor.

Mister Singh's is probably one of the best Indians in Glasgow, I love it.

Khublai Khan's is good if you fancy something really different.

I went to Soho in Miller Street on Tuesday night they do a pre theatre for £8.95 for 2 courses :) or £12 if you want beer/a cocktail/wine with it.

Edit: Just realised you said you're driving. Easy enough to get to any of these and then drive to the SECC.
The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.

Sorry - got to this too late...So for any future SECC concertgoers -

Both City Inn and the North Rotunda do free parking if you eat there. I had a fab pre theatre at the Teppanyaki in the North Rotunda recently. Food at the City Inn is good, and nice bar.

(Gillyx - love Mister Singh's too! Great restaurant with fab staff)

Hi there, not sure if you'll get this in time but its a good one to remember for the future. Fanny Trollopes (how could you forget!) on Argyll St is about mins walk from the SECC and is absolutely amazing. Their pre theatre menu is unbelievable value for money. I think we had 3 courses for £15 but the quality is incredible. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Enjoy :-)

Hi all, I was at the SECC recently and just walked from Sauchiehall Street at the Charing Cross end to the SECC. Took about 15 mins, and there was enough restaurants there to choose from!
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!
