Loft Ladder - I need help to find cheapest

Can anyybody suggest where the cheapest place would be to buy a loft ladder. A lot of online shops are asking £150 - £200 which is way out price range.

Not looking for anything fancy, just plain and simple (and cheap!!).

Was thinking of getting one just last night. Shall take a drive to local Wickes if not there will order online. Dont really want to pay delivery if I can pick it up from store just 5mins from home.
  • Many thanks!! I will show the husband, its been his excuse for not doing the loft as the ladders cost £150+

Now maybe he will do the insulation too so we can save money on our fuel bills

Do either of these fold up to form a square and fit on the loft door? Hard to explain!

Try local tesco extra. I got one last month for £14.xx (1/2 price at time) carries up to 15/16 stone. Does the job.
I'm just looking, I'm not buying.............

B & Q Warehouse have a good selection of ladders, make sure you get one with a rail on though, especially if you have kids.
  • there was a thread about loft ladders/hatches the other week, might find some more suggestions here:
