Just been to tesco and 300mg jars of nescafe four pounds. They are the 50% extra jars with eighty eight pence off. If you buy the normal 300mg jars they are 6.99!.

Just as an aside, are we the only ones who now pay extra for Nescafew Gold as the Original tastes bitter?Filiss0

They used to do a special instant coffee called Mellow Bird's. There was an advert with Hannah Gordon pouring proper instant coffee away into a pot plant in somebody else's house and going home and relaxing with a mug of Mellow Bird's and looking all smug.0 -

Agree 100%. Have been using the kenco pouches for a few months, and just gone back to Nescafe Classic - and it tastes vile.
My Favourite is Asda Gold or Tesco Gold, actually prefer them to Nescafe Gold.
And you can still get Mellow Birds, my mate won't drink anything else. Was always a bit weak for me, a bit like dishwater.
Anyone remember Camp coffee liquid stuff!!! lol0 -
I personally don't see the point of Mellow Birds - why not just put half a spoonful of normal coffee in instead? Agree with jonnyjackov, it's like dishwater.
I bought some Nescafe "Cafe Parisien" recently when it was on offer and find that a really nice, smooth coffee. Pity that at the normal price it's a bit expensive!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0
