    Hi Jen

Glad you reached a positive resolution - and thanks for the update :)
My posts are my own opinions based on my experiences and info gathered from sites such as this.
They are not a substitute for professional financial advice - but you knew that already didn't you? ;)

A previous poster on these boards said he had learned never to deal with companies with unprofessional sounding names....well illustrated in this case. Glad you got your resolution Jen
  • Hi Jen30,

I have had exactly the same problem.Used as a stop-gap till my new salary was coming in, I was easily able and happy to pay back.My date of payment is this Sunday. I have received no money since they stated it had been sent on the 10th April. I have e-mailed and threatened legal action.I have also threatened to seek to check their bank accounts- to prove whether they have sen the money or not. If they have not then I would be seeking a claim of fraud and false advertising & false trading.

What did you do to tip the balance between being ignored and getting a resolution?

    best

  • Hi,
I spoke to a Gary Chapple who said it was a clearing error and that he would delete the loan. I received the e-mail below. It is good news. However, when I login to their site, it states I still owe the amount loaned. Once this disappears I will be happy that the situation is sorted.

    Mr .....

As per our discussion this morning your loan has been cancelled from our system
    Kind regards

To anybody who is thinking of taking a loan out with Tooth Fairy Finance - DONT. They are complete criminals
How do you know that they are complete?

For all you know, they might have some bits missing. :p
Shame on the OFT for allowing them to trade.
    I entirely agree.

One would not have much confidence left in the criminal justice system or the police if most burglars and robbers were tolerated and licensed, with their (voluntary) Code of Conduct specifying how many items each may steal per visit from a dwelling-house, or how hard a mugger may kick his victim.

Yet that is not very far removed from what the OFT does. It sells Consumer Credit Licences and, despite much noise having been made over the years of its supposed ability to revoke a licence, I cannot recall any case where that has been done - not even when a company is supposed to have been "reined in" by the OFT yet, two or three months later, that same company is up to the same sort of tricks once more.

Were you referring to Tooth Fairy Finance's parent company, CIM Technologies Ltd? :p
