Should i contact the creditors prior to bankruptcy?

Just a quick question, i am going bankrupt soon and am wondering whether i should contact the creditors prior to the bankruptcy to inform them?
I keep getting about 4-5 phone calls a day from Capquest which i don't usually answer, so i am wondering if i informed them of my intentions would this stop the calls? Unfortunately, as i live with my parents so the calls are annoying them also.
Or should i wait until the bankruptcy is through and then inform them?
Many Thanks.

I would not bother warning them of your BR, there is a good possibility they would up their phone calls and letters, they definitely will not stop them. I told mine and it was a waste of time, money and effort.:pB&SC No. 298

As Dojo says...don't contact them...you have no legal [or moral] obligation to do so.....time to start thinking about re-building your life without them? No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......0

What might stop the calls temporarily is if you answer one and say you are taking advice from the CAB (or other debt charity) and will be in touch within xx weeks with regards to that advice. You are not lying as you haven't said what that advice relates to or that an offer of payments will be forthcoming.
Hopefully though, they will note their files to leave you alone for a couple of weeks, awaiting your contact. Of course, the next thing they get will be a BR notice, lol. When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN
