For the best views you need to know which side of the train to sit on. Going to Mallaig sit on the left and retrurning sit on the right. This ensures you get the best views of the Glenfinnan viaduct.

Thanks. I think we get allocated seats, so will hope for the best. Really looking forward to it after seeing the pictures on this website. We've done the journey several years ago by car, but think the train will give better views.0
