Bank accounts - upgrade from basic to current

Hi everyone...

Just wandering if anybody has been able to upgrade their basic account to a normal current account following discharge from bankruptcy? (with BR still showing on credit file)

If so - I would appreciate any advice or tips on how you managed it.

I am new to this forum - so my apologies if it's been covered many times before :o

    While the BR is on your credit file then it will be very difficult to get anything other than a Co-op Cashminder or Barclays Cash account. I understand a few have managed to get a Nat West account but it is a bit hit or miss.

    Have you had a look at cleaning up your credit files?
