in a meeting he tabled an offer of voluntary redundancy, then when i accepted he changed it to a compromised agreement with me getting £2,500 instead of £6,500, not a very good deal at all, when i asked him to compromise a little he closed down and said nothing else is acceptableTrying to understand my electrical usage and take control to become greener0

your difficulty is being seen to have accepted them by continuing to work.
i have not agreed to them by continuing to work, i stated that i would not want to work nights because of family over 5 months ago, his letter was 10 weeks ago stating about night racing, i believe i still have 2 weeks to object to the changes.
his letter was also very vague and stated no details which were suppose to follow but never did.
i am yet to work night racing as this has all been very swift and everything has happened over the last 5 days, he only called the meeting with staff 5 days ago, i am due to do my first night shift tomorrowTrying to understand my electrical usage and take control to become greener0 -
how often will you have to do a night shift? The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!
If I give you advice it is only a view and always always take professional advice before acting!!!

it would depend on how the staffing was done for each shop
chances are three nights each weekTrying to understand my electrical usage and take control to become greener0 -

3 out of 5? that is quite high. You need to go get some proper advice pronto! The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!

9:30pm is not "night" shift, it is late shift
Your family being young has no bearing on whether this is a legal change, so I would not mention that at all again.
Have you formally requested details and confirmed in writing that you cannot formally accept or reject until you are aware of the proposed changes in full?
Have you suggested an alternate work pattern that gives him cover and still retains you on similar hours to now?Debt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0 -
we have all requested details for the last 3 months but he doesnt even know himself, he will leave it till the last minute as usual and leave the details to the staff as usual and not take any blame as usual
i have no alternate work patterns ideas but then its not my job to do so
so i assume that i do not have means for breach of contract?Trying to understand my electrical usage and take control to become greener0 -
That;'s correct. If you wish to remain in employment I'd ditch "it's not my job" and MAKE it your job to make it work!Debt free 4th April 2007.

As I said in my previous post, my personal opinion is that it's unlikely. But you'd need to speak to an employment solicitor to give you a view of the reality based on a lot more detail and their knowledge of how these things play out.
KiKi' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0 -
