Hi
Thinking about getting some venetian's in he main bedroom (wooden one's seem nice, may be pricey though). any ideas? Are they practical, i.e. keeps out the light when closed, curtains seem more "cosier" but just fancy a change.
Thanks

Hiya,
I've bought a couple of sets so far. The cheapest I've found are from Dunelm mill in their sale recently. They also sell some full price which are ok. It's only when you get to huge diameters (my front room are 240cm) when it gets expensive. My 180cm width were £37.99 in the sale so it's possible. I'm thinking of getting vertical blinds for my front room as they seem much cheaper. Catalogues sell the tracks and then you buy packs of the blinds depending on the width of your window. But I'll keep an eye on your thread to see if anyone posts a bargain.
Nearly forgot, they block the light out fine and look great too!

Thanks Mel
Where is Dunhelm Mill - not really an expert on Blind manufacturers you see. Is it a high street shop? I assume Rosebys do them but got some curtains from there once, but was baffled by the sizes/measurements and ended up getting one that were too big!
Will have a look online soonsh as well

I intended going the wood slats route again but then saw some good roll blinds in Ikea. The are very dark and only a little light creeps in around the edges. perfect for bedrooms. Very cheap but good. I did my whole place out using them. very cool. The have dark navy and off white colour and several sizes. Wood slats are a pain to clean. I had them all through a previous place.0
