£1 a day = £250 for christmas

I really like your idea. Going to do it 50p from me and 50p from hubby. Will soon mount up for Xmas. I can easily waste £1 a day just nipping to shop for something else and coming home with some biscuits I shouldn't eat anyway!!!
My first pound will be spent on a tin from the pound shop then!!0 -
If you're not happy about any sort of gambling
I really need to have a good read through the matched betting thread, the only problem is that i cant really afford a couple of hundred quid straight off, is it possible to start with less?
like i said before i have enough money to live, and i have a bet on the weekends football every now and then, but its just nice to have that little extra.
im in the same boat as you aswell, i really want a new car (not need, just want) as mines a bit of an old banger, would be nice to have something quite new as all my cars have been old things.
i signed up to that peopleperhour last night ans will see if anything comes of that, also i will have another look at mystery shopping. and really need to look at matched betting, i know my way round a bet so maybe it could work for me.0 -
Iv looked at the matched betting and despite a degree in engineering I couldn't understand how that would make me any money :-P
My brother has been making a decent bit on betting recently with "in play betting" so i'm trying that out right now... you wait till a football match is underway... if a team goes ahead by 2 goals the odds go really short but if you put a couple of quit on you can make a few pence fairly safely... obviously the more you put on they more you can make, but you also risk more...
you may only make 25p per bet, but 4 times a day thats your £1 a day!Cashback in 2013

Seismicryan - I get where you are coming from but with matched betting you are 100% risk free (what your brother is doing isn't and if he makes 25p for a couple of quid bet, it takes only 1 in every 8 games to lose and he'd be back to square 1).
To be honest I didn't really understand the matched betting thread on here which is why I didn't give it a go when I first read about it. I had a read of THIS which was a bit simpler.
If I was to try and explain it easily...
Back Carlisle £50 to win the football match againts Colchester at 2.38 (on Betfred)
Lay Carlisle £50.64 to lose the footiball match at 2.39 (on Betfair)
So with these bets you're pretty much going to lose about £1.50 ish no matter who wins.
Because you've deposited and staked £50 on Betfred, they are now going to give you £50 to bet on something.
So...let's back Macclesfield to win against Chesterfield at 7.0 on Betfred with your free £50 and then lay £39.74 at 7.6 on Betfair. Whoever wins, you've won £37.79 profit (after commission) because you've only had to pay for half of your bet.
The previous link I gave you has the info on where to find the best bets and what websites are giving free bets.
And just to let you know how profitable it's being...I said I was at £43 at 10pm last night. I got up to £71 this morning and when I receive a couple of my free bets and use them (some don't appear til you're first bets are settled) then I'll be up to £173 (most by tomorrow but 1 on Monday).
Your one problem is going to be the balance you need to start off - if you have even a little money you could start off on short odds and free £10 bets to lower the liability on Betfair. I've had to use a total of £750 in order to put down all the bets - but I've been focussing on all the £30/£40/£50 ones. I would say the minimum you could start with is about £20 - £10 to deposit and stake somewhere and £10 in your Betfair account to lay. If you use Quidco when opening some of the accounts, they will give you quite a bit of cashback (although takes ages to come through).
Feel free to ask any questions and I'll try and help!0 -
I almost think I would need to get somone to show me on my laptop how this thing works... I will maybe look over the instructions with some friends and see if we can work it out together!
Also, a lot of it seems to be based on the fact you get free bets? What happens after youve got that free bet?
I am sorry if I come across as stupid about this lol Im really not.. I just dont get how it can be so easy to win so much... why isnt everyone doing it??
EDIT: I have sent the link to my two friends who are trying to make a little money from betting and seeing if we can figure it out together and maybe pull resources to allow us larger free bets etc!Cashback in 2013

I have been doing this since 1st january and at the end of every month I put it into my small building society account that isn't easy to get to as its a good threee miles away from where I live .So far I have £90.00 in there plus £15.00 in my small money box on the kitchen windowsill.Must admit I haven't missed it and it will be very useful when Christmas looms over the horizon0

Those matches that you're betting on...I've put matched bets on 5 of them and will come out at a £4.24 loss between them all. But once they're settled, I'm being given £175 in free bets. So they'll all be matched against Betfair and I'll make a fair whack on that.
Hope you get it worked out - you could make a year's worth of 62p per day in about a week...0 -

Hey JackieO!
Are you still opening new accounts just now or have you opened as many as you can? Are you finding a lot of existing customer offers?0 -
