Nice...... Glad they didn't keep you suffering too long.

Years ago I won an online comp that was either £5,000 or a share of £5,000. I won on the Wednesday and was the only winner but others *could* win up until Sunday midnight (the week before five had shared). The company kept in touch and by Friday there were still no other winners -and they promised to call me Monday morning at work. The longest weekend of my life -and then the company had computer issues Monday morning and finally called me to say I was the only winner at 2pm . By then I'd convinced myself there would be at least five winners -far better to think smaller-and if it is a biggie it's all the sweeter-and if it's nice but not huge -you don't end up feeling disappointed by "Yes...but it could have being more......."

(Oh if anyone cares the company was Tombola in their original identity-and they were fab -when I said I was going on holiday on the Wednesday they made a special effort to get the cheque to me by the very next day so I could bank before I left so it would clear whilst I was away- £5,000 looks like an awful lot more when you do a balance and get it in (what was then) drachma LOL
