Was pleasantly surprised last night to be able to secure a pretty decent fixed-rate mortgage.
Granted, we are in the fortunate position of only having 4 years/45K still to run and and LTV of around 20% but still happy to be able to fix at 3.99% for 3 years with 1st Direct. Arrangement fee was only £199 but should be able to get £100 back from opening a bank account with them. They also waived the £197 valuation fee!
Also nice that they will secure that rate for us until our existing ERC period expires with our current lender at the end of August.
So....sorted, hopefully be able to overpay a bit during that 3 years and that may well be our last re-mortgage!
