Hi
Have you had any advice from any of the debt advice charities at all?
Can you tell us a bit more about your situation? are you in arrears with your mortgage or other priority debts (council tax, utilities etc)?
Have you worked out a monthly budget to see how much you should have left after living costs to tackle your arrears and any debt repayments?
If not then completing this statement of affairs is a really useful tool - http://www.makesenseofcards.com/soacalc.html
If you post the results on here it will tell people more about your position and then make it easier to offer you advice.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

Hi Sparky, please post your SOA. there are some great people on this board who can advise you on the best way forward once they can see your true financial situation.
If you don't want to post your SOA, please speak to one of the FREE debt charities like CCCS or National Debtline. They'll be able to provide you with expert, impartial advice.0 -
Hey Sparky,
Please get in touch with someone like CCCS. I too was redundant for almost two years and we were in a desperate state financially as a result. Talking to CCCS was great - they set out the options available which helped me make a good decision. Yes, this is a sh ! tty situation but it will definitely get worse if you don't try and get help.
Best of luck.0
