Mortgages for freelancers

Hi
I was wondering of anyone had any idea of how, as a freelancer, I would go about getting a mortgage.
I've read about what to do if self employed, but that's not really the case for me. I get work through recruitment consultants who place me. I'm then paid by these recruitment companies, through PAYE, so I receive a weekly pay slip with all tax deducted. I use 2 companies mainly to find me work, and it's pretty likely that I'll never really be not working for more than a day or 2.
I've also only been working like this for about 6 weeks, and before that I was in a full time permanent position.
Any advice greatly appreciated…

By the sound of it you are temping at the moment. This means you have a very insecure source of income. Not the basis to apply for a long term financial commitment such as a mortgage. Seek permanent employment before considering a mortgage.0

You could speak to a broker like Freelancer Financials (I've used these folk, though other specialist brokers are available!). I suspect, though, that you would need at least a 2 year history evidencing that you had made a secure living.0
