HSBC Mortgage Discounts

Options
Hi

I currently have a mortgage with HSBC, do they offer small rate discounts for patrons holding a current account with them.

I remember them saying when I took the mortgage out 3 yrs ago that by opening a current account I would get a 0.2% rate discount but don't know if this is still the case.

Thanks

Planemad

  • i upgraded to a HSBC Advance account (costs £13 a month inc travel/breakdown insurance etc ) so i could get a 0.4% saving on my rate
therefore have 2% plus base instead of 2.4%+

Hsbc change rates and upfront fees all the time, check out there website for current deals.

I'd say its 99.9% unlikely they will discount your mortgage for a bog standard current account.
10% likely if you take a premier or Advance account they may.

I'm currently only on 0.99 above base rate on a tracker.
I would like the doscounted rate but dont actually want to change my mortgage product.

Looks like a branch visit is in order.
