Hi heard there is a new legislation on Asw contract workers being introduced this year which entitles them to similar rights as staff workers...Anyone know much about this and how it will affect agency workers?

It will apply to temp workers after 12 weeks in the same role in an organisation. Parity with employees in relation to pay and holidays I think. They would also be able learn of and apply for jobs within the organisation just like employees.
Due to be implemented in October. For anyone already working as an agency worker in a particular role, they would still have to wait for 12 weeks after 1 October, not count from when they first started in the job.0
