We are doing a remortgage on our house that we currently live in, and we think we might buy a new house and let this out sometime in the next 12 months. Which lenders are the best for giving consent to let with minimum fuss and fees?
Thanks
Thanks

A lot of lenders are trying to avoid this or if not, then they load their rate accordingly.
Dont think there is a 'best' one at the moment but if locked into a deal (say a 5 year fixed) then it may be difficult for them to load the rate during the preferential deal. I know this is something Halifax do. They will charge you say 5.99% on their consent to let rate but if you are 3.79% fixed at the time of application, then they cant change this0 -

A lot will depend on your circumstances and the lenders criteria at the time of application.
Remortgaging to the best available rate now seems far more beneficial.0 -
Santander and nationwide seem to be ok. Halifax isn't automatic and they charge a large fee.Snootchie Bootchies!0
