Decorate your own Easter Egg?

Sorry if this is the wrong place.

Can anyone help please? I usually buy a Decorate Your Own Easter Egg kit where you get a chocolate egg plus some Haribo-type sweets and a little tube of icing. I've bought one every year for about the last 10 years in places like Asda, Tesco, Woolworths etc. This year I can't find them anywhere!

Asda and Tesco both have a Decorate your own egg kit, but it's not the same, you don't get a proper egg to decorate, just a flat oval bit of chocolate. I really want the normal kind, my kids are looking forward to it. I've googled and all I could find was Lakeland but the link is dead so I think it might be from a few years ago.

Does anyone know who sells these kits now please?

Thanks in advance!

I dont know how much you would normally pay for the kits you mentioned....
Could you not make your own Easter Egg Decorating Kit? Get the Kids to choose their own chocolate egg (Tescos 3 for £3) and Dr. Oetker do a set of 5 icing tubes (baking isle). Then can you not get some small packets of sweets to decorate, (Tescos do individual jelly beans, haribos etc.) or look at things you would normally decorate fairycakes with. ie. marshmallow pieces, chocolate buttons etc.
    Hope that helps.

Thanks - yes, I think that's what we'll do. I just couldn't believe that no-one seems to be selling them this year. Very odd!
  • I am pregnant and I was hoping to buy an egg for my brother and sister and decorate it buy writting "Eggspecting." I think I will be buying them all separate too
  • Its odd they are selling less things like this ... Are we getting less creative?

I like the idea of decorating and even making your own eggs and am going to try it next year and will even add some walnuts etc as the Marks and Spencer ad inspired me

Will be making my own hot cross buns this year too!

I'd hate to see all the creative stuff leave the shelves and everyone end up 'buying your own' instead of 'making your own'!!!
