Vegetable oil may be a blend of rapeseed and other oils such as soybean oil and groundnut oil, the quality of the rapeseed is like comparing decent quality extra virgin olive oil and Tesco value olive oil.
The one I'm thinking of does actually declare itself as 100% rapeseed oil.
I know what you're getting at, though I wouldn't use decent quality in my baking! Am I the only one who tries to keep their palate as ignorant as possible? Far cheaper that way :rotfl:0 -
Yeah the recipes were American, and I will probably just use my usual vegetable oil to try it out with. Thanks for clearing that up!
It isn't awkward at all when you find out these things can be bought in their basic forms and probably used just as well lol

Hi all,
I have found a recipe I would like to try for dinner tomorrow but it's american and says 'can of chicken broth', by this, do they mean soup or stock? Here is the link if it helps...... (I have left over peppers and chicken so thought this would create a different meal for us all)

It does seem like they live off tinned and pre packaged meals! I watched extreme couponing with my DD yesterday, that was a real eye opener!0 -

No but I could possibly paper the downstairs with is as I would have brushes to put the paper on with
I couldn't believe some would take home 136 bottles of 'pop' just because it was free and the other items they purchased were a complete waste of money, some guy already had 12 years worth of washing liquid but bought another couple of years worth because he could get it at about a fifth of the price! :eek:0
