B Careful of Qatar Airways offer (please read this)

Just checked this first of all for one ticket to bangkok from london price 485, then checked on the 2 4 1 exactly same dates and times and the price is 920. Both using the qatar site at the same time.

The offer is supposed to be the fare cost plus 2 times the taxes which should be around 710-735 based on the fare used on my quotes. They are still charging the fare twice. It is being made to look like you are getting the deal stated, but that is false advertising, in my case the only saving is 25 quid each.

On the one seat quote they state fare 235 + 250 tax on the two for one they state 210 each plus 250 tax each. Ther later should be 210 plus tax of 250 each. I have already forwarded copies of the forms to BBC Watchdog. John

Obviously dates and fares vary based on what each passenger books but on my booking form they were trying to overcharge by 210, the booking was therefore not completed. Whilst the fare is still good it is not what they advertise.

Just because it was related to an offer doesn't make it suitable to be posted on the grabbit board. If this is the only board in the entire 80-odd that people look at then it's their fault if they miss something, IMO :)

    It's a reverse grabbit? i.e. Don't buy this special deal :-)

Perhaps the mods can either move this thread or merge it into the original Qatar Airlines one (where the op has already posted).

Double check the connection times at Doha before booking to see if practical.

LGW-DOH-MEL. Checked in online, everything at Gatwick went smoothly and staff were helpful. Seats and entertainment ok, cabin crew a little surly but okay. Arrival in Doha delayed by 30 mins due to air traffic problems. With a very short transfer time and a delayed inbound flight you would have expected priority to be given to passengers in this situation, but no one took any interest in our short transfer boarding pass wallet/tags. We were held a further 10 mins on the plane whilst first/business got off, then had to wait for a bus to the transfer terminal. We missed the flight and face a 24 hour wait before we can leave. We were passed from pillar to post with no one expressing any regret or empathy. After nearly 3 hours at the airport with little explanation we were finally allocated a hotel, but our luggage amazingly made it to Melbourne!"
