leaving my DMC

im seriously considering me leaving my debt management company and going at it alone. what is the first step? shall i phone them to make them aware, they already have an up to date SOA from my dmc already. shall i just ask them for bank details to set up a standing order for slightly more than they are getting now as i wont be paying thier fee?
also,i would really like an up to date list of all payments made to them as my dmc stopped sending my monthly statement and when they have sent an up to date review they have got the wrong figures on (apparently what we had on the origional paperwork) which are not the right figures! they are very out of date too, still showing the origional amounts even though they were wrong, almost like they dont even know what the correct balances are!! I so hope i can go at this alone with the help from people here..

  • You should definately move from the company that you are with - all the cash you are paying the company counld be going on your debts.

If you don't feel that you have the confidence to go it alone, or even if you just want a bit of advice contact one of the debt charities - they will do the same thing but it will be FREE

try CCCS, National Debtline or CAB
