Hi,
Please can someone help? Myself and my husband applied for a first time buyer mortgage through a broker with the halifax. The problem is that I am on a zero hour contract but have worked 20 hours a week with this company for 4 years but they refuse to put it in writing, I have submitted my p60s but they dont correspond with what my head office will commit to saying I actually work, has any one come up against this and how can I get round it as the halifax wont accept my p60 as proof of earnings and say they need employer confirmation of hours worked and my work will not provide it. Are there any reprocussions if my area manager wrote a letter to confirm the hours as she says she wont write a letter incase she gets into trouble for it?

You have already posted in https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2477083 so it might be best to concentrate response in that thread which you have already posted in (if only because the experienced advisers best suited to pointing you in the right direction have limited time to donate in answering multiple threads).
I stand by my comments in there - although there is considerably less information about your circumstances that the OP on that thread.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

No need to apologise - my error (I just saw the latest date - yours - and assumed it was current).
My comments still apply - a good broker should be able to handle it if no other issues and Halifax is not the place to be.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
