Out Source Typing

I was trawling though the web to find extra jobs to do and found a company called OutSec who employ audio typists to work from home.
They require you to purchase equipment (but there are no registration fees or anything) they just argue that to make sure you do the best possible job for them you have the best equipment - fair enough but only if you get enough work from them to justify the expense (around £200).
I was wondering if anyone had done this or knew of any other companies. If I do say so myself I am a great audio typist and was hoping this could be a nice sideline.
and help get rid of some of the more nasty debts

Hi,
I do audio typing at home (for a very small company, and not much work at the moment, sorry!). The only requirement was to have a PC and broadband - we use free downloadable software (Express Scribe) and audio files are sent to us and we type up and return as an attachment to an email. So no costly equipment necessary really.0 -
Proceed with caution I would say!:j Where there is a will there is a way - there is a way and I will find it :j0

I have a feeling there must be jobs like this out there its just finding who they are that is the problem!!
I love to type - is my great weakness in life. :rotfl:Rebecca Martin0 -
I have heard very good things about outsec. There is a post about them on https://www.homeworking.co.uk, including a response from their Director.
The transcription equipment I have costs £80 + vat, I got it from speakit.info (Olympus A2300).
I do know that they get a lot of applicants and they don't have a great deal of work for the evenings. But you've got nothing to lose, so give it a shot!0
