(This is the first time I've posted any competition on here - or anywhere on MSE - so if it's in completely the wrong place or anything, then this newbie apologises in advance. It is a text only comp and I've done a search, and it hasn't appeared on here from what I can tell and the comp only went live this morning - anyway, enough waffling and get down to the nitty gritty)...

You can win an iPad 2, 42" TV and £50 iTunes voucher with Digital Spy at the moment:

    http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/digitaltv/news/a317764/win-ipad-2-42-tv-and-gbp50-itunes-voucher.html

Question: Which film actress won the award for 'Best Actress in a Leading Role' at the 83rd Academy Awards this year?

    A) Natalie Portman :j
    B) Sandra Bullock
    C) Nicole Kidman
    D) Annette Bening

(the answer - A) Natalie Portman for Black Swan - I got from here:)

    http://www.oscars.org/awards/academyawards/83/nominees.html

To enter you can text the word "WIN" followed by a space and then your answer "A", "B", "C" or "D" to 80039 - for example, "WIN B". If you do not wish to receive further marketing messages, end your text with a space and "NO INFO". Texts cost £1.50 plus one message at the standard network rate (charged upon receiving a text confirming entry). Entries received before or after the competition period will not be included in the competition, but you may still be charged.

All correct entries will be entered into a draw after the competition period, and one winner will be selected - who will then be notified.

T&Cs available on Digital Spy site.

Again, apologies if I've done this wrong (or I've inadvertently treaded on anyone's toes), but this sounds a fantastic prize and wanted to share it.

    thanks for this
    but..

twice mine came back (not delivered)?
    anyone else get this:(
  • To enter text METROKU followed by a space, then your answers
    3 3 8 first name and postcode to 65400 i.e. METROKU 458 DAVID W8 5TT.
    Texts cost £1 + snr.
Metro promotional rules apply. For more details visit www.metro.co.uk

    Happy weekend compers!

This week's item: Here's a must-have for any serious couch potatoes out there - a chrome and leather armchair! But how much did the new owner have to pay for their relaxation?

    A - £410
    B - £610
    C - £810

Any ideas? I've searched and searched, but can't find it this week. :o

Alas, no, it's brown and looks a bit more like a chaise longue than an armchair. The armrests are thicker chrome and one is much longer than the other.
