I like the taste of some bottled waters, and yes, I really can taste a difference in some (but not all!)..some its the softness, and some tap waters taste almost metallic and chemically. An excellent MSE tip, thanks to old style board, is to draw a jug of water and leave for a couple of hours. It really does taste better.0

turkey bacon..
Mmmmmm, tasty.
Quite a big thing in America, not as common over here, but in most supermarkets nowadays.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

turkey bacon makes sense, ina red meat avoidance/low fat kind of way in a way (other than for religious reasons) other red meat alternatives unless they taste outstanding are surprising.HAMISH_MCTAVISH wrote: »Mmmmmm, tasty.

I don't recall ever having it, but it was around when I was a kid. Making bacon with lamb/beef is an interesting idea for small holders/self sufficiency which is why I asked. I've never seen/heard of lamb or beef alternatives before now 0 -

not if they are chemical impurities. our water comes from lee valley and failed for a chemical contaminant several times last year. a slug killer i believe. Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0
