Work havn't paid me my holiday pay and I'm not at fault

Hello guys

I work in a restaurant, even though its after christmas, the restaurant has still been very busy. All the other chefs have took there holidays and have been paid. Except i've took my holidays and I havnt been paid. This companies cut off date is the 21st march (their tax year start/end) but I was only able to get my holidays booked after from thes 21st for 2 weeks. It wasnt feasible for me to have my holidays earlier because everyone else was having theirs off. They told me at work that i'd prob get paid these holidays. But now there saying I can't do anything about it.

I'm justa normal chef inside this kitchen, and I have no authority to say when I can have my holidays, just when they said I could.

What is the best way of going about this? They've said i'll get paid it, now there saying I won't and they'll take next years holidays to pay for these ones. But aren't I loosing out??

Is it your Line Manager or HR refusing to pay? Is this a fairly large organisation, does it have policies and procedures in place? Have you been made aware of any policies and procedures? Is there a grievance policy?

You could try contacting ACAS for some advice but they will no doubt ask some of the questions I have.
