Refund if you paid Farepak with debit card

Just passing on a story I've just heard on the radio.
Customers who paid into Farepak with a debit card can have these funds refunded. HSBC, who were the payment processing bank for the company have said that if customers paid by debit card, they should contact their own bank and ask about the charge back procedure.
Not sure if it will help anyone, but thought it worth passing on.
Edit - just heard the article again, and it also covers payment by credit card.

Have you got a link for this? The internal communications i've seen from within the company states that debit cards aren't covered. Will have to double check tomorrow...0

its in Martins Farepak thread....If you paid for Farepak on a Visa debit card, there is a real chance you can get your cash back. Unlike with credit cards, this isn't a legal protection, but a protection from Visa's own rules. It's all about Visa's 'chargeback' system.

I posted this last week
I heard on Yorkshire TV calendar new program on Wednesday that a agent got there money back including all the customers. They paid via Debit card and did a chargeback, I though I miss heard it as I only thought you could do that with credit cards not debit cards. She said that she got this infor from a web site I wonder which one.

Christmas is back on for a group of Farepak customers in Leeds after getting all their money back.
Cathie Rhodes, a former agent for the hamper company which collapsed last month, made all her Farepak payments online using her visa debit card. She then discovered that anyone who pays by visa for goods that don't turn up can be reimbursed.0 -
