Hello, I have recently taken out money from my NatWest / Halifax and Post office savings account and put it all into my HSBC ISA, also I put it £1000 cash from a recent sale of my computer and I phone

I now have £9200 in my ISA for deposit, will the mortgage people want evidence of where all my money came from, e.g ebay sale, and transfers from other savings account?

The mortgage people probably won't but your solicitor will need a complete paper trail for money laundering regulations. You will need original statements as well not print outs.

Yep, basically! Fortunately I did not need to get statements from any closed accounts so I can't comment on how quickly those come through. But I got statements from Natwest in about 4 days. Just make sure to ask for A4 versions (rather than the A5 versions they normally send out) otherwise they'll charge you £5 and it takes 3 to 4 weeks. I was also able to get Lloyds to print out and stamp statements in branch (free of charge, ordering by post would have cost £10). My H&L accounts were delivered next day - free of charge. I don't know what you will need for eBay - perhaps PayPal statements will do?
