When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important. :D

Good morning everyone. I'm up bright and early as usual, but today our entire company (all six of us!!:rotfl:) are going on a training course in London so I need to leave the house at 7.00. It was a choice of start the thread or miss it completely.

Needless to say it will be a small list for me today, but always useful to write it down.

So far:
  • checked banking
  • checked for surveys - only £1.80 to go on Onepoll
  • fed and watered the chickens
I will also:
  • get lift to and from work (and all the way to London too!)
  • free drinks and lunch at the course
  • dinner from stores
  • finish a corset sample tonight
  • have an NSD
Must dash or I'll be late for my lift.

Morning All! Thanks for starting us off Stitchy :A
It's looking like a lovely day here (so far!) but then again it was like this yesterday until it chose to chuck it down at lunchtime!! DS is off on holiday at the moment and is doing some activity at the Schools holiday club this morning so chores will be done around this :)

Already got the bedsheets in the washing machine, in hope I can dry them on the line before any impending rain... but rest of the list:

    [STRIKE]Check internet banking[/STRIKE] mmm
do some baking - DS did some at holiday club so will do this Thursday...
    [STRIKE]all food from stores[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]OH taken dinner with him[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]I really need to do a freezer inventory[/STRIKE] might wait til DS comes back and he can help me! (This may take a while):D Done..Very interesting!! Just have to do something productive with the results now!! :rotfl:
OH brought me some more greenhouse glass in to wash before we finally finish assembling it :o (hopefully I will manage not to cut myself on it today!) Another job for Thursday me thinks!
measure the glass I need to get replacements for as broken Thursday Job!
Maybe take the trailer full of garden waste (again) to the tip Thursday Job!
Got some ironing to do (probably last job tonight while watching football) DONE!

I did however spend the afternoon batch cooking and doing some jobs in the garden though so all was not lost!

I reckon that lot should keep me out of trouble and away from any shops today.......

Hope you all have a great day :D
