Somebody had a receipt come back like this the other day with n/a.......... the weights are clearly wrong and that might be why it's getting thrown out, because it makes the price per kg different for the comparison?

    I'd contact CS personally

IT teacher to the rescue lol! Your IP address will stay the same when connecting to the internet on one computer another computer connecting to the same internet connection should have a different IP address. Turing the router off wont change this. As for the cookies in your internet options you can manually delete the cookies stored on your PC.
Cookie traces are far more likely than the IP address as IP is far more invasive.

    You're an IT teacher? Seriously?

Behind the router, each computer has its own IP address (private LAN), but all the computers data are routed through the router's single public-facing IP address.

so an external website sees every webpage request (or Tesco receipt submission) from a private network as the same IP address. Schools, librarys, corporations, etc. all operate like this, so IP logging may be happenning, but it cannot be used to determine what constitutes a household.

BTW, no-one seems to have pointed out that the price checker website is an HTTPS secure site (like internet banking). That's more significant!
