I really don't get people "wombling" receipts. If you are doing it for charity, fair enough but for any other reason, well, I hope it is your downfall.
Well it does stop litter blowing around, and killing the local wildlife; it also entertains small children whilst you are waiting for your other half to carry out your specific orders. Cheer up my dear, have some Barcadi , and do your litter duties....does it really matter??????0 -

But it was a recalled transaction so hopefully it's just a bit delayed!
A couple of things to note from today's shop...
T Goose Fat potatoes had a SEL of £2.50. Didn't buy them but if this is right it'll be an even better DTD! It was definitely the right ones btw as I've seen them before.
Oxi Action is £10.88 in at least two stores I've seen. Still good DTD but something to note.
And there's no beef or Finish lemon in most of Liverpool!
I got two packs of the potatoes yesterday at £2 each, pricematched to £1 at Asda. May have gone up since though!!

I'm not actually sure what the issue is with 'wombling' to be honest. Tesco have said it is okay to do. I've 'wombled' only a couple of times and found it not very profitable, simply because we are targeting certain items, whereas general shoppers aren't. Therefore you tend to get a couple of pound voucher at max.
We'll it is hard enough getting stores to accept vouchers, without having lots of small ones to use too.
Just my view.
I agree to a point, apart from the bit about smaller vouchers. I actually think it looks a lot less dodgy to the SA if you're handing in a voucher for a smaller sum from a long receipt then our more normal £20 DTDs for 5 or 6 items. I still feel really guilty when handing a receipt that has a £14 voucher from buying one bottle of gin for £17.49 (paid for by a coupon for £17.44 and 5p cash!!)
Having said that, how many people are actually going to buy the kids toothbrushes for £10 and the Vanish for £12..? I've put three wombled receipts in so far and got a total of about 30p in coupons which I obviously didn't bother with. It's still interesting to put them in and see what comes out of it if you find a loose one in the trolley park. I wouldn't go as far as scrabbling through a bin for one mind...0 -

The other thing with a wombled receipt is that you may find a DTD on there which hasn't been apparent before and can be added to the spreadsheet for everyone's benefit...0 -
