I have just done a shop - some seperate high value DTD shops and a non DTD one. I wanted to pay for the non DTD with a voucher to the value of £17.22. Guess what the shopping came to?........£17.22!!! and I was just putting non DTD items in my basket that I needed . So I paid £0.00!! So funny and stunning that it came to the same ammount - what are the odds on that?

Can I ask how you calculate it all? I always end up spending £2-3 per shop on top of my voucher.

i used to calculate it all before hand and have specific lists.. but it was then too stressful when i got there and certain things on my list were oos. now i have a list of items i want to get and just start plonking things in the trolley, roughly adding it up in my head, then once they get near £16 ish i get my calculator out and check exactly how much it is and then i am carefully choose what to add to make it upto the right amount

I agree that it would lose it's trail UNLESS that is (don't call me paranoid) they link the the DTD vouchers via the receipt numbers. Highly unlikely but also very possible. I think clubcard use is a matter of personal choice depending on how paranoid you may or may not be.

Theres no way they have some one at every single store importing all the receipt numbers at the end of a day and sending them to some one you put in a database..

The only links they have is using the same email on the price checker..and probaly l using your clubcard on every transaction..

SO you calculate the COST, not the DTD to always get it to £20? I reckon thats where I go wrong

Can't speak for Jodie but I try to balance my shops so that I have some of the items which return more than their cost mixed in with those that don't so I end up getting back the voucher value.

Again I agree with your comments but you cannot be 100% sure that they don't. That's why I mentioned that it's a matter of personal choice.

Can we agree to disagree:beer:

yeah ive stopped taking DTD into account, the mojority of items i get are free, profit or a few pence. i got 3 racks of lamb on one receipt, i know i will lose the 'profit' but as long as its free thats all that matter to me. the odd time i will get a voucher back that is about £17 or something, but it doesnt bother me. most of the time my shops will include profit and none profit items, so alot of the time it works itself out without me having to mess about adding it up

I did not post the email address for correspondance but simply that all voucher emails have pricecheck@tesco.co.uk as the sender
address. Some email services may have spamblocked this address.
Whatever service you use check it hasn't inadvertently been blocked and add pricecheck@tesco.co.uk to your best friend list. :j

I know what you meant Zen, I was trying to input the email I received from them should somebody decided to write to them thats all. And I also know that your post was unrelated to what I posted. ;)

I'm just wondering whether everyone who hasn't got vouchers yet are from made up email addresses? Like the dfwff@klgjjhj.com type? I wonder if they've clamped down on getting them straight off the screen now and only sending them to email addresses?

I tried a genuine email address from a few days ago on screen just to test out and it won't work on the screen but I can still access it from my email account?

What do people think?

I use a valid email address and I don't get any emails, nothing in my junk folder either. It's ok just retype your details in and you should get a voucher. Sometimes I've had to wait an extra day but it will come. HTH
