    When they used to accept any vouchers as long as they stocked the item, then clearly although you may not have bought it, they would know from their sales figures that someone had and be able to recover the redeemed amount from the manufacturer. With this current promotion it is likely the head office (or store) marketing budget taking a hit.

    do they only take vouchers now if if you puurchase the product ? Is it across all stores ?

    What this exercise has demonstrated to me so far is that they change their prices regularly so that many items are studly over priced, generally before a promotion to give the illusion of a saving(not just Tescok, all supermarkets), they build in significant profit margins as clearly some daft people never check prices anyway (judging by some of the trolleys I have seen when out!), and that retailers and manufacturers are in cahoots on promotions which I had not noticed as much before, so if it has bene on promotion in one supermarket it is likely to go on one in another as well. Both Asda and Tesco also seem to have some prices that are sometimes lower (with not comment/rollback or whatever) that they put up before then claiming a price reduction and if it is on the shelf as price matched with a competitor, check the prices of the other pack sizes as chances are they will be cheaper!

    Thanks, but I just saw emmad5689's post, she must have posted it before me. :)

    Anyway, the more often it's repeated the better, I'm sure it's a staple item in the DTD trolley by now so we need to warn people! :eek:

    DO NOT BUY BETTY CROCKER!!!

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Generally yes. BUT if you use the 30p coupons on the pack of the packs and only buy one at a time at £1.49, then the effective price is 21p - not bad if you actually use the product. And it is not humane to abandon poor old Betty just because she has outlived her usefulness!

    Morning all.

    Slightly hungover here. :o

    Think I'll take a trip to Mr T's and get my neighbour some lamb. Wonder if it'll be noticed that on the receipt with voucher I bought lamb.

    Probably not but it does not matter anyway.

    That's what I thought. Who in their right mind wouldn't go back and get some more lamb if they'd been given a voucher for almost the full value!

    Has anyone had a voucher back from Leeds 007 store from Tues? Input mine Thurs & still waiting despite multipe entries, no cookies etc. Wouldn't find quite so much but was away with work & bought heavy stuff I then had to carry back on the train for 3 hours :D

    Asda are cheeky. They have it marked as rollback when they've increased the price by 4 times!

    Did you not see the article on Watchdog last week, it even showed items that where 'rolled back' to prices higher than the original. They did it for a short while last week with frosties. marked as 'Rolled back' new price £1.98, crossed out price £1.97.
