a few tips as i have a 100% hit rate so far *touches all things wooden*
    - i print out a copy of the page that shows the comparison along with the actual voucher, just so i have ammunition if i need it. it's helped 'legitimise' the transaction in a few case involving clueless SAs.
    - being female i scope out young/bored male SAs, then furiously bat eyelashes (to the point of going cross-eyed), smile like it's going out of style and when push comes to shove.. wait for it.. bring out the baby voice (there, i said it). judge all you want, works a treat!
    - chatter away incessantly about all things random to distract them.
    - look ridiculously confident  irrespective of how flustered i am.

wow, reading this i don't come off too well !!!

I also tend to favour the male cashiers but for a different reason. Often these guys are not seeing a lifetime career ahead of them, nor do they have much vested interest in the role. They're often smarter than might be imagined and are more likely to have actually read the memos or at least be less confrontational in their response.

I've been trouted by a male floor manager and walked out, which despite the inconvenience at least got the message through to other staff at the branch. Although despit this it still amazes me that the company policy on DtD hasnt really filtered through, I recently had a till manager ask what I thought she should do with the voucher....

Whilst using your sexuality may work in some instances, dont underestimate the cashiers, personally I'd find a woman playing the, O silly me, arent I ditzy, flutter, flutter, childlike role quite irritating and be much more likely to respond to someone who knew their rights and was prepared to put forward a reasoned case if challenged.
But we're all different and what works for one....

thing is, it's possible to do both - do the sweet, smiley, full-of-life thing (harmless at best and makes ppl happy) while also be prepared to put fwd a reasoned case when challenged and know your rights etc. i'm def not propogating being thick:eek: - just being a bit flirty while also being completely switched on. it's a fine art :rotfl:
