yup but it would not be a real 153 as 30 dog insurance is there and few pounds for the internet would have to come out of that.53+55+14+30=152
No, I am not entiled to any other benefits (already checked), do not have family who could/would help and no access to credit whatsoever.
Looking around the flat to see if there is something I could perhaps try to sell....not sure I can raise that much money this way but perhaps a bit, I really do not know.
Do not have a car (or anyone with a car) to do a boot sale, no idea about ebay... I am just tottaly uselesss really and feel useless too.
Thanks everyone for posing

Can I ask after you have gone br what are you going to do about money then. Posters have given you advice but you seem to have your own agenda. Lets be honest I know you love your pets but you cannot afford them. With the figures you quote you are going to be in a worse position after br.
Over the last x number of years you have run up debts probably to survive going br will not help you, I can see where the CCCS were coming from.
Sorry but you will have to really look at your life, you cannot afford your pets. How would you say fund another £500 bill?0 -
I did not fund the 500 bill, insurance did, that is why dog insurance is a necessity.
I can not /will not rehome a dog that is not well, sorry...
Cats I may have to, got them while I was still working - the situation now may force me to have to rehome the cats, they are only 7 months old each so still young.
Dog has to stay. No matter what.0 -
I know that not all that would be actual spends on groceries but you will have at least £100 if you get rid of the Sky to spend on groceries. There is a site that explains how to feed a family of 4 for £100, I'll find the link for you. Also get over to the Old Style Board and the guys there will help you come in budget and possibly under.

Don't worry to much about the dog, as you have said it may be prudent to re-home the cats.

I'd rather go hungry than lose my much loved dog. Can totally understand the way you feel. Hope things improve for you.gettingready wrote: »I did not fund the 500 bill, insurance did, that is why dog insurance is a necessity.

I will only ever rohome the cats if I find a perfect home for them....
Will try to keep the 2 boys and find homes for the girls first though, not sure I could just let go of all 4 of them

If you want to try and save a few pounds on internet then PlusNet have a good budget price and they have a UK based call centre. In the last 5 years I've only had to call them twice I think as they have a superb online system for queries and answer really quickly.
I can understand your concern about using the PDSA but they will treat an ongoing condition and that could save you the pet insurance. Why not give them a ring at least to discuss the situation?
I too buy my dog food in bulk. I found a pet shop that will deliver for free if I order two 15kg bags (about £45) at the same time and it works out far cheaper than popping into the village repeatedly to buy 3kg bags! Admittedly I have to budget for the bulk buy, but it does help. When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN
