Hi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.

debtinfo makes an absolutely valid point regarding further use of credit when an individual is aware that he or she is insolvent as these are potentially circumstances that may warrant a BRO.

But the OP thinks (rather disgustingly) that a BRO is not 'too harsh'
The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter :(

If Debtinfo wanted to make a valid point, he/she would have phrased it differently. Something like "You should be aware that it can be classed as fraud to use credit whilst knowingly being insolvent..."

I started the thread to ask for advice on a partuclar subject, Debtinfo's comment was neither helpful nor informative.

Although it is off-topic, perhaps you can elaborate why I should think a BRO is harsh? I am naturally offended that you consider my opinion to be disgusting, and I don't see the need for using that kind of language.

From what I gather, a BRO prolongs the restrictions already imposed during the BR. I am not planning to borrow any money from the banks ever again, nor will I be directing a company or working in the financial service sector. A BRO is a blessing rather than a punishment in my situation.
