Add in emergency fund £10 per month tooOnly after the last tree has been cut down,
Only after the last river has been poisoned,
Only after the last fish has been caught,
Only then will you find that money cannot be eaten0 -
Hi guys,
What about cars? I live about 30 miles from work so we need a reliable car. The car is in my partners name but I contribute half to the finance (about £160 a month), insurance and maintenance costs. Without me contributing we would struggle to keep it.
What can I claim for that?
I'm starting to get really worried about br and not being able to afford to live

Send a copy to the OR, I believe DWP can reduce any benefits you currently get until you are discharged when the balance is written off (hopefully someone will confirm this)0 -

Depends when the decision to recover the overpayment was issued. (the wording from the TM)
If that was after the BR date, then the overpayment is not a bankruptcy debt and is not written off on discharge.
If the decision was before the BR date, then DWP can recover through ongoing benefit entitlement until discharge, at which point anything left unpaid must be written off.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
