Pound cake recipe?

Can only find american recipes, anyone got
a uk one? :)

    I think the whole point of a pound cake is that it is a lb of each ingredient. So it should be a pound cake if you cream a lb of sugar with a lb of butter and then add a lb of flour and a lb of eggs.

    Pound cake originally started out like that, but like all good recipes, it has been changed and adapted along the way. I have tried this one from The Independent A handy hint if you are googling for a recipe in UK measurements, is to google the name of the item, recipe and UK, you're g/teed to find a UK site with the recipe you are looking for :)
