Ironing Board Covers, cheap place to buy them?

Apologies if this is the wrong forum :o

It's been one of those things i've been putting off for a long time but the holes are getting a bit much so i bought one from Home Bargains yesterday (Minky), says the same size but it doesn't fit in any way shape or form....

It's a Minky ironing board so it should have fitted, i can't really understand it unless it's lke curtains you have to an extra width...

Can anyone recommend anywhere to get one either online or in a store that comes in at under £10? B and Q where i bought it from originally doesn't seem to have many ironing board covers these days unless that's just online....

    Wilkinsons sell them.
Measure your ironing board, or better still, draw around it so that you have an exact template, then write the dimensions on it.
Most covers either have elastic or a cord around the edge. Check if the one you have already bought has a pull-string around the outer edge; if so then you can adjust it fit your board.

Unfortunately we don't have a Wilkinsons here in our part of Scotland....:(

I measured it exactly before leaving the house but even though it says the same measurements it doesn't fit....

The one i bought was elasticated like the one we already have....

ASDA were doing a Minky board cover for £2.99 (and the board itself for £13) but unsure if that was nationwide. There are two sizes of Minky Board at least so this may be why your Home Bargains one didn't fit - i've inherited one that didn't fit a friends. In the past I've got them from Morrisons for not a lot.

I just assumed that if I got the same size it would fit....Maybe it was a dodgy batch hence why they ended up in home bargains! :rotfl:

Will give Morrisons a go this week....Thanks

I have just bought the JML one, cost about £4 from Asda and it's great.I have a big ironing board to accommodate my steam generator iron and had trouble getting one to fit but this one fits all ironing boards and just slips on over the board.
It was a bit bumpy at first but soon flattened out after a bit of ironing.
