Ignoring telephone harrasment letter

Hi,
Credit Resource Solutions have been constantly phoning me and sending me text messages regarding and outstanding balance that I owe Hastings Direct.
I have sent them a few letters proposing a payment plan as I cannot pay the full amount in one go and asked them to respond in writing but they have completely ignored the letters and continued to call and text me. I have ignored the calls but the texts just tell me to call them.
I used the telephone harrasement letter that is on this forum and edited it so it stated I also dont want to be contacted by text message, although as it asks them to delete my number this should have gone without saying. They have stopped calling me, however they have continued to send text messages. I have had four since they RECEIVED the letter (I sent it special delivery). The letter asks them to respond in writing to my correspondance address only.
Can anyone please tell me where I stand and what I should do next?
I assume as they havent answered to my proposed payment plan I can ignore them until they do. Is this right?
Also, what can I do about them continuing to send me text messages as it has become very annoying now!
Help would be much appreciated.

Well to be honest I must admit some of the advise with regards the letters to send is in the main excellent but I personally think some are pointless and are ignored by the dca's and as such you can end up sending letters left right and center when you could be paying the debts off with the money. With regard to the phone calls I think the best and only solution is to change your numbers a little bit of a pain but it sure does stop the calls and then just issue the number to who you want it to go too..0

do they do anything though??? as we are talking phone call a little hard to prove .0

Keep a diary of calls they made and text messages you have received; note down the time when each was made and, when the ICO investigates the matter, they'll have some evidence to correlate to the company's phone logs.0
